The Horse Chestnut in question is a significant tree. The arboriculturist is rather dismissive of it - wrongly so. If DCS9 was applied the footprint of the extension could be changed to save the tree. "New Development should accommodate green infrastructure". The planning summary suggests no ground floor extension - but there is one, hence the threat to the tree.

This is the TPOed tree which it is planned to be removed. The applicant is proposing to mitigate the loss with a number of trees according to BTRS , which in this case is 8 trees (not the seven in the Arb Report) Seems quite generous
