A tree in an urban setting is a very different beast from a tree in a forest or in woodland. They need to be managed. If they are not managed then they become huge (possibly) and unruly, and the next thing we know is an application to fell - and the ecological and visual amenity and benefit is lost. Far better to appreciate tree owner's attempts to manage their trees - which is not cheap - and leave the decisions to the experts - the LPA Tree Officer.
