I tried to visit the site but it is behind a locked gate. From Lodge lane, several small trees or shrubs can be seen but the Garrya wasnt obvious. Not a good case for preservation

There is no explanation nor an Arb report although the application is made by Bartlett Tree Services. I presume the species is Garrya elliptica , Coast Silk-tassel. Garryas are an uncommon tall shrub in Bristol (3 planned by UoB)
