This is an example of the application of SSM to a house building site. 0.0364 HU will be lost and this is to mitigated with a much smaller garden plus 3 small trees to be planted in a separate public access 5m2 patch of modified grassland (Blue) which will create the equivalent of 122 m2 of area (shown for comparison in green) of urban tree habitat generating 0.0373 HU of biodiversity.
Overall a gain of 59% is claimed.
