I object to the felling of these trees/reduction in height to hedge height. A further deterioration of our environment will follow. But I have been all around the area today trying to see them from Druid Road and Mariners Drive and Mariners Path. The tops of the crowns are visible from most directions (other than from Church Avenue) but I doubt that they are sufficiently visible to be a sufficient public visual amenity. This is a big defect in our legislation and the MPs missed the opportunity to do something about it 10 years ago. As they are not in leaf it is not possible to judge their health. Their crowns have been chopped back as well so they do not have a typical form
