The University of Bristol has a large campus in Stoke Bishop within the Sneyd park and The Downs Conservation Areas. Hence their tree works are /VC. There is no obligation in Planning Law to give reasons for felling trees, and nor is there a requirement to replace them, although the LPA sometimes conditions replacements.
As previously the University has given reasons for these losses and has also specified the replacements they propose to plant. Well done to them - the local residents around here say thanks.
