Good news - I've just seen that Jacob, the Arb officer managed to persuade the owner to compute the Magnotia to a crown reduction "The original proposal was to fell the tree, to which we received a number of objections. The tree is visible and prominent along the road, so the applicant was informed that we would be willing to place a Tree Preservation Order on the tree to prevent felling. Instead, they agreed to this crown reduction, which will not unduly affect the long-term value of the tree."

My completion of the TEMPO form scores it as 20 which is well above the threshold for awarding a TPO

Photo added - looks like a fine, healthy specimen in a very public location.

This is the tree to be felled because of "Landscaping Alterations" Seems to be in good health from an aerial view but more evidence is needed to check its condition . It is certainly in a very prominent position in the street.
