As this tree is being removed to facilitate development - apparently its removal needs to be prompt - then the loss to the environment and the amenity should be mitigated by conditioning the Bristol Tree Replacement Standard. It does not look as if there is space on the site for this, so this will require a s106 agreement and money paid for the planting of trees in nearby public spaces. See Application 25/10034/VC which was also a request for tree work to facilitate development, but did not require the loss of the tree. The situation has changed somewhat.
