It would be an enormous shame to lose these two trees. They are very visible, even from afar, and prominent in the public domain.
They both appear healthy - indeed good specimens.
They are not so near to a house as to appear to be likely to cause damage to it - and that is not suggested in the application.
They do not appear to be damaging a boundary wall - and again that is not suggested.
In the application the word "works" is used and landscape works appear to be going on associated with a nearby car port or similar.
Please do not permit the felling of these two splendid trees - but, should you elect to do so, please apply the Bristol Tree Replacement Standard, as if they are felled then the reason for the felling is likely to be associated with the development "works".
