Comment:
Norwegian spruce trees are an important support to a variety of insects, beetles and moths - a valuable food source for bats and birds.
If the Council provides permission to fell this tree, the applicant is obliged under the Bristol Tree Replacement Standard to replace the tree with a species of equal value to the area and its biodiversity (preferably a native species), planted in a suitable location to ensure longevity.
