BTF response: OBJECT

28 March 2024: This objection is submitted on behalf of the Bristol Tree Forum:

We endorse what the Planning tree Officer says: "This proposal to install hoarding appears to require the removal of a significant number of trees along the site boundary. The applicants do wish to remove these trees for their development of the site, but that application is not yet decided. It would not be acceptable to remove the trees for the hoarding, absent other permission to remove the trees, so I object to the proposal. If the applicants wish to proceed with the hoarding they should demonstrate that the hoarding can be installed without harm to the existing trees."

We also object to the proposal to crown lift or prune these trees just to erect Hoarding. Whether or not the applicant makes a full application to develop this site, a full Arboricultural Impact Assessment and Method Statement needs to be submitted before this application is decided.

I am concerned by the number of traveller vans now in the area and when there is a 2.4fence on one side of our road Enfield Road it will encourage traveller vans to park along the roadwe already have had two or three here and they are congregating in an area off Filwood road on aprivate road .WE DO NOT want them here we pay council tax for the privilage of living here theydo not .Today there was quite a violent verbal clash in the road to get one to move .This fence willbe an eyesore and a magnet for these people .
